Role Overview

Letshego Lesotho is seeking a highly competent and experienced Risk Lead to join its dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in strengthening the company’s risk culture, overseeing risk management strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement enterprise-wide risk management frameworks
• Identify, assess, monitor, and report key risks across business operations
• Collaborate with senior management to embed risk management into strategic decision-making
• Oversee credit, operational, and market risk controls
• Ensure compliance with local and group regulatory standards
• Lead the preparation of risk reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Conduct periodic reviews and audits of risk processes and controls

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (postgraduate qualification preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a risk management role within the financial sector
• Solid knowledge of Basel principles, regulatory frameworks, and credit risk management
• Strong analytical, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Professional certifications (e.g., FRM, PRM, CRMA) are an added advantage
