Position Overview

The successful candidate will play a key role in evaluating and analysing the creditworthiness of SMEs, supporting senior credit analysts, and preparing reports to guide financial decisions. Financial Analysis
- Analyse financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Evaluate financial ratios and trends to assess the financial health of borrowers.
Credit Assessment
- Assist in credit risk assessments for potential and existing clients.
- Review credit applications and supporting documents to determine creditworthiness.
- Recommend credit limits and terms based on risk assessments.
Reporting
- Prepare detailed credit analysis reports for senior analysts and management.
- Maintain and update credit files and ensure accuracy.
- Collect and verify financial data from clients and external sources.
- Conduct market and industry research to support credit evaluations.
Monitoring
- Monitor and review existing credit accounts to identify risks.
- Support credit review and portfolio analysis processes.
Collaboration
- Work closely with senior analysts and other departments for accurate credit assessments.
- Communicate with clients to gather information, clarify queries, and maintain strong relationships.
Qualifications and Experience
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, credit risk assessment, or related roles.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in financial analysis and understanding of financial statements.
- Familiarity with credit analysis tools and software.
- Strong Excel skills; experience with financial modeling is an advantage.
Analytical & Communication Skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain findings clearly and collaborate effectively with teams and clients.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
