About the Role

The Lesotho Tourism Development Corporation (LTDC) invites dynamic and visionary marketing professionals to apply for the role of Head of Strategic Marketing. This leadership position plays a pivotal role in promoting Lesotho as a competitive and attractive tourism destination—locally, regionally, and globally.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute the LTDC Marketing Strategy and Annual Plans.

  • Align marketing initiatives with LTDC’s strategic goals and national tourism agenda.

  • Provide thought leadership in positioning Lesotho globally.

Market Research & Insights

  • Oversee market research and competitor analysis.

  • Identify emerging trends and use data to drive strategic decisions.

Brand Management & Promotion

  • Manage LTDC’s brand identity across all platforms.

  • Spearhead brand awareness campaigns and represent Lesotho at international events and expos.

Integrated Campaign Execution

  • Lead multi-channel campaigns (digital, print, social media) highlighting Lesotho’s natural and cultural offerings.

  • Foster partnerships with tour operators, media outlets, and the private sector.

Digital Marketing Leadership

  • Manage LTDC’s digital presence including SEO, website, analytics, and online engagement.



  • Measure performance metrics and continuously optimize content and strategy.

Budget Oversight

  • Manage the marketing budget effectively.

  • Provide timely performance and expenditure reports to executive leadership.

Performance Monitoring

  • Set and evaluate KPIs and ROI on campaigns.



  • Generate marketing performance reports and recommendations.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with national and regional tourism stakeholders.



  • Build relationships with international travel agencies, hospitality brands, and community leaders.

Team Development

  • Lead, inspire, and grow a high-performing marketing team.

  • Encourage innovation, learning, and alignment across all marketing functions.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Tourism Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in strategic marketing, preferably in tourism or hospitality.

  • At least 3 years in a senior leadership position.
