Position Title: Drill Rig Supervisor
Grading: Patterson Band – CU
Location: Letšeng Diamonds, Lesotho
Closing Date: 14 April 2025

Purpose of the Role

The Drill Rig Supervisor will be responsible for the maintenance of Epiroc D65 Drill Rigs and must demonstrate a clear understanding of best practice maintenance standards and drilling principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the current maintenance plans.

• Establish and maintain cost-effective and productive drill availability, MTBF, and MTTR.

• Provide training and coaching to personnel to improve blasting processes.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures including safety, environmental, confidentiality, and code of conduct.

• Meet or exceed performance expectations as set by management.

• Exercise discretion and sound judgment in all job functions.

• Prioritize the safety of all personnel and ensure a risk-free work environment.

• Demonstrate punctuality and regular attendance.

• Contribute to the development of departmental personnel.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Auto Electrical with Epiroc accreditation in both basic and advanced drill rig maintenance.

• 4 to 5 years of maintenance experience on Epiroc or similar drill rigs.

• Minimum of one year field experience in drilling and blasting.

  
  
  

• Strong technical knowledge of drilling activities and safety practices.

Skills and Competencies

• In-depth understanding of drilling and blasting equipment, materials, and procedures.

  
  
  

• Strong technical knowledge of Epiroc RCS systems.

• Advanced understanding of AC/DC and PLC electrical circuits with troubleshooting capabilities.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• General knowledge of drilling and mining operations.
