We are currently seeking three dedicated and experienced nurses to join our team as Immunization Project Assistants, working on a health and immunization-focused initiative in Mokhotlong, Leribe, and Mafeteng.


About the Role

As a Project Assistant (Nurse), you will be the key driver of immunization and health project activities at district and community levels. You will work closely with local health facilities, Village Health Workers (VHWs), and community stakeholders to ensure effective outreach, accurate data collection, and timely reporting.

This role demands strong leadership in field-based implementation, deep community engagement, and the ability to support vulnerable children and families through health system strengthening.


Key Responsibilities

Program Implementation & Monitoring (40%)

  • Execute high-quality health and immunization activities aligned with project goals.

  • Prepare and distribute educational materials and training tools.

  • Track project milestones and budget usage.

  • Submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly progress reports.

  • Document impact stories and lessons learned.

Stakeholder Engagement & Representation (30%)

  • Collaborate with district health teams, EPI focal persons, and community-based organizations.

  • Organize meetings and trainings for health workers and local leaders.



  • Ensure responsible use of project resources and represent World Vision at community-level forums.

Team Collaboration & Administration (20%)

  • Supervise support staff and community volunteers.

  • Prepare and review reports and work plans for your assigned district.

  • Promote teamwork and strong cross-functional communication.

Spiritual Nurturing (10%)

  • Participate in daily and weekly devotions.

  • Demonstrate integrity and leadership rooted in Christian values.



  • Contribute to the spiritual wellbeing of the team and community members.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (mandatory)

  • At least 5 years’ experience in health project implementation and primary healthcare

  • Postgraduate qualification in Public Health, Community Health, or Primary Healthcare is an advantage

  • Proven knowledge of immunization programs, EPI reporting, and zero-dose identification

  • Strong facilitation, training, and community mobilization experience



  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access)

  • Must be registered with the Lesotho Nursing Council and hold a valid license


Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational abilities



  • Familiarity with UNICEF data and reporting systems is a plus

  • Capacity to work independently and under pressure

  • High emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity

  • Committed Christian with demonstrated alignment to World Vision’s mission and values




Additional Information

  • Must be willing to travel domestically up to 50% of the time

  • Remuneration: Competitive and aligned with market standards
