Position Title: Marketing Communications Assistant
Department: Marketing & Customer Experience
Reports To: Marketing Communications Manager
Location: Econet Telecom Lesotho

Main Purpose of the Role

To support the development and execution of the annual marketing and communications plan in alignment with the overall Marketing Strategy of Econet Telecom Lesotho. The role requires a dynamic, proactive individual capable of handling multiple responsibilities and contributing to the success of marketing campaigns, communication initiatives, and brand positioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily administrative tasks to ensure the smooth coordination of departmental activities.

• Assist in organizing and executing marketing projects and campaigns.

• Conduct market research and analyse consumer feedback, ratings, and questionnaires.

• Update spreadsheets, inventories, and databases with both financial and non-financial data.

• Prepare weekly and monthly media monitoring reports.

• Support the planning and facilitation of promotional events and marketing campaigns (traditional and digital).

• Assist with product marketing initiatives and materials.

• Develop marketing content, including literature and promotional materials, to enhance brand visibility.

• Ensure consistent availability of marketing communication materials for the sales team.

• Maintain strong brand presence across all regions and at sponsored events.

  
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Management, Communications, or related field.

• 2 to 4 years of experience in a marketing or communications-related environment.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.

• Experience in event planning and campaign coordination.

  
  
  

• High levels of initiative, professionalism, and customer service orientation.

• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.

  
  
  

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Team player with strong relationship-building capabilities.
