🌍 Background
The Government of Lesotho, with financing from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and GEF, is implementing the ROLL Project, focused on landscape restoration and livelihood improvement. A Climate and Environmental Specialist is sought to guide the integration of climate and environmental measures into the project lifecycle.
📌 Key Responsibilities

Oversee planning, implementation, and monitoring of GEF-funded environmental and climate activities.

Mainstream climate resilience and environmental sustainability into the ROLL Project.

Ensure compliance with environmental and social safeguards.

Provide technical support and prepare environmental reports.

Engage stakeholders and support knowledge sharing.
✅ Required Qualifications & Experience
| Criteria | Requirements |
|---|---|
| 🎓 Education | Master’s in Environmental Science, Climate Change, Natural Resources Management or related field. |
| 💼 Experience | At least 5 years managing climate/environmental projects (GEF or international donor-funded). |
| 🛠️ Competencies | – Deep knowledge of safeguards |
