Position Overview

The National University of Lesotho International School (NULIS) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Secondary Teacher – Accounting and Business Studies. The successful candidate will deliver lessons at the IGCSE level and later assist with the launch of the Advanced Subsidiary (AS) curriculum. A strong commitment to extracurricular and co-curricular activities is required.

• Over 291 students enrolled in Secondary (S1–S4)

• Diverse student body from multicultural and socio-economic backgrounds

• Curriculum: International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE)

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) with majors in Accounting and Business Studies

• Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience at Secondary/High School level

• Familiarity with IGCSE syllabus is required

• A postgraduate qualification and prior experience with AS-level teaching are added advantages

Key Responsibilities

1. Teach IGCSE Accounting and Business Studies (S1–S4)

2. Participate in the school’s expansion into AS-level Accounting and Business Studies

3. Conduct at least two extracurricular activities and lead one club

   
   
   

4. Be actively involved in all school events and functions

Employment Terms

• Locals: Permanent and pensionable/gratuitable terms

• Non-Locals: Two-year contract (renewable upon satisfactory performance)
