Purpose of the Role

Lesotho PostBank is seeking a Business Operations Analyst to join its Operations Department. This position plays a key role in enhancing operational efficiency, analysing business processes, and supporting data-driven decision-making to drive productivity and profitability.

The incumbent will work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and support digital transformation initiatives, process optimisation, and compliance with regulatory frameworks.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business units to gather and analyse requirements and process workflows
• Identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements across banking operations
• Perform financial and operational data analysis and generate insightful reports and dashboards
• Support technology implementation and digital transformation projects
• Ensure alignment of operations with regulatory and compliance standards
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate system functionality
• Monitor cost control measures and recommend cost-saving opportunities
• Evaluate revenue leakage and operational risks, implement corrective measures
• Prepare annual operations plans and budgets aligned with LPB strategy
• Draft progress reports for internal stakeholders and executive management

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, IT, or a related field
• Postgraduate qualification is an added advantage
• 3–7 years’ experience in business analysis, preferably in the banking sector
• Strong knowledge of banking operations, products, and regulatory standards
• Proficient in tools like Microsoft Visio, Jira, Confluence, Power BI, Tableau
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies

Preferred Certifications (Optional)

• CBAP – Certified Business Analysis Professional
• PMI-PBA – PMI Professional in Business Analysis
• Agile certifications (Scrum Master, Product Owner, etc.)
