Job Description/Purpose
To oversee environmental management, water quality monitoring, and regulatory compliance at SanLei. The role involves ensuring strict adherence to BAP (Best Aquaculture Practices), FDA, and environmental standards, maintaining sustainability initiatives, and upholding food safety regulations.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Monitor and audit water quality to maintain optimal conditions for trout production.
  • Oversee the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) and Regulatory Compliance, including Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).
  • Conduct Environmental Audits and Inspections to identify risks and ensure adherence to sustainability policies.
  • Manage External Certifications and liaise with regulatory bodies.
  • Analyze, compile, and present Environmental Data for decision-making.
  • Lead Community Beneficiation Projects related to environmental conservation.
  • Ensure proper Waste Management, implement Waste Policy, and drive improvements.

  • Minimum degree in B.Sc. Environmental Health or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in water quality analysis and laboratory work.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in aquaculture, environmental compliance, or sustainability.
  • Knowledge of BAP and FDA certification requirements is an added advantage.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

  • Strong compliance consciousness and knowledge of environmental regulations.
  • Deadline-focused with excellent record-keeping and planning skills.
  • High attention to detail and computer literacy.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote aquaculture environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Excellent data analysis, reporting, and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
