Key Responsibilities
- Ensure network infrastructure and services are running optimally and securely
- Configure, test, and deploy network elements such as routers, switches, and related equipment
- Perform network troubleshooting, fault analysis, hardware troubleshooting, and repairs
- Apply configuration changes through change control systems and processes
- Deploy and maintain network monitoring, analysis, and reporting tools
- Monitor daily network performance
- Support and maintain load balancers
- Support and maintain Access Control Systems
- Support and maintain CCTV systems
- Patch network vulnerabilities to safeguard information against external threats
- Document network designs, updates, changes, and processes
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification in IT, Engineering, or a related field
- Cyber Security Certification
- Fortinet Certified Professional: Security Operations Certification
- At least 2 years’ experience within the telecommunications sector
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles
- Understanding of computer networking concepts, protocols, and network security methodologies
- Ability to operate and manage network equipment including routers, switches, bridges, servers, transmission media, and related hardware
- Knowledge of communication methods, principles, and concepts that support network infrastructure
- Ability to configure and utilize network protection components such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
- Excellent interpersonal skills
