Key Responsibilities
- Teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects and postgraduate dissertations
- Participate in the research programs of the Department/Faculty.
- Carry out teaching and conduct research in his/her area of expertise;
- Assume administrative duties if required to.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties appropriate to the post.
Requirements
- Associate Professor
- PhD in Development Studies
- Background qualification in Development Studies at MA Level
- At least Six Years of teaching Development Studies at University level
- University teaching experience in at least two of the following Development Studies areas of specialty; Development Economics; Project Management; International Development
- Proven track record of supervising postgraduate research students;
- At least 5 journal articles in accredited journals
- Proven track record of research and publishing with reputable publishers
- Proven record of mentoring junior staff
- Proven record or ability to source funds for research
- Senior Lecturer:
- PhD in Development Studies
- Background qualification in Development Studies at MA Level
- At least Six Years of teaching Development Studies at University Level.
- University teaching experience in at least two of the following Development Studies areas of specialty; Development Economics; Project Management; International Development.
- Proven track record of supervising postgraduate research students;
- Proven track record of research and publishing with reputable publishers, and in accredited journals.
- Lecturer
- PhD in Development Studies
- Background qualification in Development Studies at MA Level.
- At least Two Years of teaching Development Studies at University Level.
- University teaching experience in at least two of the following Development Studies areas of specialty; Development Economics; Project Management; International Development
- Evidence of publishing in reputable journals
