Position Overview
UHIC is seeking passionate and tech-savvy individuals to serve as Digital Ambassadors in various districts across Lesotho. This role plays a key part in advancing digital literacy by training youth, women, and marginalized communities in essential digital skills and acting as a bridge between local communities and the broader digital development agenda.
Key Responsibilities
As a Digital Ambassador, you will:
- Train youth, women, and vulnerable groups in foundational digital tools and internet safety
- Lead outreach activities and awareness campaigns to boost community participation
- Act as a liaison between the community and project team, providing continuous feedback
- Monitor learning progress and report on project impact and challenges
- Promote digital inclusion and innovation in your assigned district
Required Qualifications
Education:

Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or certificate in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Experience:

Proven experience in delivering digital skills training or IT-related education
Language Proficiency:

Fluency in both Sesotho and English is essential
Residency Requirement:
- Applicants must reside in the district they are applying to serve
- Eligible districts: Butha-Buthe, Berea, Mafeteng, Mohale’s Hoek, Qacha’s Nek, Thaba-Tseka, Mokhotlong
Contract Terms
This is a project-based contract with potential for renewal based on performance and project needs.
