The International Center for Community Land Trusts (CLT Center) is a global nonprofit created in 2018. We help promote community land trusts and support groups working to build community-led housing, land use, and food systems around the world. Our goal is to make land and homes fair, safe, and lasting for all. Since launching, we’ve grown from a volunteer-led startup into a key voice in the global community-led development movement.



Hours: 20 hours/week
Pay: $75/hour (contracted)
Location: Remote, with some travel. Open to international applicants.
Reports to: Executive Director
Deadline: Rolling until filled

Position Overview
We’re hiring a Development Consultant to help guide our fundraising efforts. You’ll work closely with our Executive Director and other team members to build donor relationships, manage grants, and support outreach to new and current funders. This is a remote role with flexible hours, ideal for a seasoned fundraiser who cares about affordable housing, land rights, and community growth.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising Strategy

  • Lead a multi-year fundraising plan for programs and general support
  • Identify and grow donor relationships worldwide
  • Launch and manage an individual giving program
  • Work with the board and volunteers who assist with fundraising
  • Help build and maintain a donor database and tracking tools
  • Collaborate with leadership to reach yearly fundraising goals

Grant Management

  • Research and track grant opportunities
  • Write and manage grant proposals and reports
  • Support donor and foundation engagement

  • Represent the CLT Center in meetings and public talks
  • Build trust with current and new donors

Reporting & Organization

  • Keep clear records of donor engagement and grants
  • Track fundraising performance and create monthly reports
  • Build and maintain a fundraising calendar

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience
  • Strong track record with donor outreach, grant writing, and gift development
  • Clear and confident writer and speaker
  • Experience working with boards of directors
  • Comfort working across cultures and time zones
  • Must be available weekdays between 10 AM – 4 PM (US Central Time)
  • Fluent in English
  • Independent and organized

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fundraising experience with international funders
  • Experience using CRM/donor tracking software
  • Background in global community development

Contract Details

  • Part-time (20 hours/week)
  • Contracted at $75/hour
  • 12-month agreement with potential for renewal
  • Reports to: Greg Rosenberg, Executive Director

Interviews will take place over Zoom and include staff and board members.
