The Role
We are seeking a seasoned Manager of Institutional Partnerships to drive the expansion of our donor base and strengthen relationships with bilateral, multilateral, and philanthropic funders. This is a high-impact role, ideal for someone with a passion for climate justice, Indigenous rights, and strategic fundraising.
What You’ll Do
✔ Build and grow a portfolio of institutional donors
✔ Lead the development of compelling grant proposals and strategic engagement plans
✔ Ensure donor reporting, stewardship, and compliance excellence
✔ Collaborate cross-functionally across development, finance, and program teams
✔ Represent The Tenure Facility at global events and donor meetings
✔ Track trends in climate finance and Indigenous rights funding to refine fundraising strategy

✅ 10+ years of experience in institutional fundraising or donor relations
✅ Proven success managing complex grants and securing major gifts
✅ Deep understanding of climate, conservation, Indigenous rights, and land tenure issues
✅ Strong communication, proposal writing, and relationship-building skills
✅ Familiarity with CRM tools and managing cross-departmental projects remotely
✅ A strategic, collaborative mindset with attention to impact and equity
Experience with large-scale grants from bilateral agencies and private foundations focused on climate or Indigenous justice.
