About LCA
The Lesotho Communications Authority (LCA) is a statutory body established under the Communications Act No. 4 of 2012 to regulate the communications sector in Lesotho. The Authority operates under the leadership of a seven-member Board and may establish Committees, including the appointment of independent experts, to support its oversight functions.

Position Summary
The Authority is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the role of Independent Expert to serve on its Finance, Risk & Audit Committee (FRAC).

In this role, the Expert will advise the Committee in collaboration with the FRAC Chairperson and other members, contributing technical insight in:

• Financial reporting and compliance with relevant standards
• Internal control systems and risk management frameworks
• Oversight of internal and external audit functions
• Monitoring legal and regulatory compliance
• Promoting ethical conduct and good corporate governance

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must be a Chartered Accountant registered and in good standing with the Lesotho Institute of Accountants,
  OR
  Must hold a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA)
• Proven experience in Boardroom practice and committee engagement

Eligibility Criteria

• Open to Basotho nationals with relevant expertise
• Applicants must not have any direct commercial interest in the communications sector

Compensation
This is a non-executive, independent role and attracts a sitting allowance for each meeting attended.
