Job Title: Nurse Educator

About the Role
Scott College of Nursing is looking for a committed Nurse Educator to join its academic team. This position plays a key role in teaching, mentoring, and preparing nursing students for both classroom and community-based care. The successful candidate must be flexible, dedicated, and ready to contribute to nursing education and professional development.

Key Duties

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans

• Record lessons and student progress in official registers

• Guide students to understand community health work

• Assess students in class and clinical settings using tests, assignments, and return demonstrations

• Supervise students in clinical areas

• Join curriculum review sessions

• Serve as a resource person for students and staff

• Engage in nursing research

• Willing to work beyond regular hours when needed

  
  
  

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery

• One of the following:

  • BA in Nursing Education

    
    
    

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing Education

  • BSc in Nursing with Nursing Education

    
    
    

• At least 2 years’ clinical experience

• Experience mentoring student nurses is an added advantage

Other Requirements

• Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet use

• Clean criminal record

Professional Requirements

• Active registration with the Lesotho Nursing Council (LNC)
  (Qualifications in Nursing Education, Midwifery, and Nursing must be registered with LNC)

• Membership with a recognized professional nursing association
