About the Opportunity
Jays Restaurant is looking for a talented and passionate Grill Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. If you have a love for flame-grilled perfection and thrive in a fast-paced culinary environment, this is your chance to showcase your skills!
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and chop vegetables to required specifications
- Cut, season, and grill meats and vegetables to customer preferences and safety standards
- Monitor grill temperature and cooking times to ensure quality and consistency
- Plate and serve dishes attractively and on time
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the grill station and kitchen area
- Follow all food safety protocols and industry regulations
- Supervise and train junior kitchen staff when necessary
- Manage grill inventory and reorder supplies as needed
- Handle multiple food orders efficiently during peak hours
Required Qualifications & Experience

Join Now- High School Certificate or a Culinary Arts qualification
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Grill Cook in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Familiarity with various grilling equipment (grill ovens, rotisserie, skewers)
- Knowledge of grilling methods: direct heat, smoking, charring, etc.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety practices
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Professional demeanor and attention to cleanliness and detail
