About the Council

The Persons with Disability Advisory Council (PDAC) is a statutory body committed to protecting and promoting the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in Lesotho. As part of its support team, the Council is seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and hygiene across its facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain office spaces, meeting rooms, and restrooms

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize all surfaces as required

• Empty and dispose of trash and recyclables appropriately

• Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies (soap, tissue, towels, etc.)

• Clean windows, walls, and glass surfaces as scheduled

• Safely store and maintain cleaning materials and equipment

• Report any repair or maintenance needs promptly

• Support setup and post-cleaning of meeting rooms or events

• Follow all health and safety standards

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum Junior Certificate or equivalent

  
  
  

• At least 1 year of experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role

• Basic understanding of cleaning products and equipment

• Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks independently

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

  
  
  

• Prior experience supporting persons with disabilities is an advantage

Terms of Employment

• Contract position (renewable based on performance and funding)

• Reports to: Administrative Officer or designated supervisor
