Position: Deputy Rector – Student Affairs and Community Engagement Services (DRSA-CE)
Location: Maluti Adventist College, Mapoteng, Lesotho
Terms: Permanent and Pensionable
Maluti Adventist College (MAC) invites applications from qualified and committed candidates for the position of Deputy Rector – Student Affairs and Community Engagement Services. The successful candidate will report directly to the Rector and will be responsible for overseeing student affairs and campus engagement activities.
This position is open exclusively to baptized members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in regular standing, who are committed to the mission and values of the College as a faith-based institution.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate programs addressing students’ social, recreational, and health needs; participate in planning religious programs.

Refer students to the Chaplaincy Department for counseling services.

Promote unity and alignment with the College’s educational philosophy and student organizational activities.

Liaise with all student organizations and serve as an ex officio member.

Oversee and manage recreational facilities on campus.

Inform and advise the Rector and staff on non-academic student needs.

Update and revise student-related materials such as the Student Handbook and Prospectus.

Advise the Rector on student disciplinary matters.

Prepare annual reports for the College Council.

Oversee student housing, including residence management.

Chair or serve as an ex officio member on all relevant committees.

Recommend budget allocations for student affairs and engagement services.

Represent the department on relevant college committees.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Rector.
Minimum Requirements
-
Master’s Degree in Nursing, Midwifery, or equivalent.

Minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience (theoretical and practical).

Experience in academic administration.

Willingness to reside on campus.
Licensing and Certification

Must be registered with the Lesotho Nursing Council or an equivalent regulatory body.

Must be a member of a recognized professional association.

Must hold a current nursing and midwifery practice license in Lesotho or country of residence.
