Qaqa Diamond Mine, established in 2021, is a proudly Basotho-owned mining operation with a shareholding structure of 75% under Morafe Group of Companies and 25% owned by the Government of the Kingdom of Lesotho. As part of our commitment to responsible mining and sustainable growth, we are seeking applications from suitably qualified, experienced, and motivated Basotho nationals to fill the position of Recovery Operator Assistant on a temporary contract.
Job Purpose
The successful candidate will assist in the efficient and secure operation of the final recovery plant, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and productivity standards. This position plays a key supporting role in the diamond recovery process by maintaining operational excellence in concentrate sizing, X-Ray operations, and drying units.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in the operation of the final recovery plant, ensuring that all procedures are followed safely and efficiently.

Support the proper functioning of concentrate sizing and X-Ray machines, as well as drying units.

Maintain clear and effective communication with both operations and maintenance teams using two-way radio systems.

Adhere to standard operating procedures and health and safety guidelines at all times.
Minimum Requirements

Education: COSC certificate or equivalent.

Experience: At least 5 years of practical experience in a diamond processing plant, specifically within a recovery plant operational environment.

Knowledge: Solid understanding of final recovery plant processes and procedures.
