As a Credit Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in evaluating credit risks, analyzing financial data, and structuring transactions to support sound lending decisions aligned with the bankβs risk philosophy.
π Key Responsibilities

Analyze credit data to estimate risk for extending credit/lending money.

Understand economic, legal, and business factors influencing credit risk.
-
Identify and mitigate credit, taxation, legal, and accounting risks.
-
Structure transactions with effective risk-reduction strategies.
-
Assess credit proposals (within delegation limits).
-
Draft reports for Credit Committee and Board of Directors.

Monitor industry trends and news affecting credit portfolios.

Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Account Analysts, and Branch Managers.

Maintain high-quality credit portfolio and contribute to asset growth targets.

Recommend appropriate credit terms and facilities.
β Minimum Requirements

Deep understanding of:
-
Financial statements
-
Credit risk models
-
Legal and tax frameworks (including RSA Companies Act)

Credit grading and pricing
-

Strong analytical and modeling skills
-
Excellent verbal presentation and report-writing abilities
-
Experience in credit evaluation and structured lending preferred
-
Strong relationship-building skills across departments
