Position Summary

The National University of Lesotho invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Economics. The successful applicant will teach at both undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels, conduct academic research, and supervise student projects and dissertations.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Economics with coursework

• Undergraduate degree with at least Second Class Upper Division (2:1) or equivalent

• Strong academic grounding in:

  • Microeconomics

  • Macroeconomics

  • Quantitative Methods/Techniques

  • PhD in Economics

  • Publications in accredited academic journals

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Teach Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Quantitative Methods at undergraduate/postgraduate levels

• Supervise student dissertations and research projects

• Engage in scholarly research and publish in relevant fields
