WLSA Lesotho is a leading NGO committed to advancing the socio-economic, political, and legal rights of women and children in Lesotho. Since 1989, WLSA has played a central role in addressing Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Violence Against Children (VAC), as well as increasing access to health services in the areas of SRHR, HIV, and TB.
The organization is currently implementing a Global Fund Grant (GC7) in partnership with the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MOF PMU), focusing on Community System Strengthening for Human Rights and Gender Equity in six districts.
Position Overview
The Finance and Administration Officer is responsible for managing financial transactions, budget planning, reporting, compliance, and administrative support across WLSA projects.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and register payment vouchers and ensure documentation is complete and authorized
- Develop departmental budgets and review journals for reporting
- Facilitate financial policy training and propose policy updates aligned with international standards
- Ensure procurement and spending comply with organizational policies
- Conduct spot checks and resolve discrepancies
- Manage financial spreadsheets and support teams in districts with financial documentation and advances
- Post daily vouchers and prepare monthly and quarterly reports
- Work independently under pressure and meet deadlines
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Associate Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance within the NGO sector (including budgeting and donor reporting – an added advantage)
- Strong planning, budgeting, and record-keeping skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, accounting software, and advanced Excel
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, demonstrate honesty, and work well in a team
- Strong communication skills in English and Sesotho
