Afriski Mountain Resort is inviting qualified and passionate candidates to apply for the position of Snow Sports Manager. Based at our mountain site in Mahlasela Pass, this role is central to leading all winter-related operations, ensuring a world-class guest experience, and maintaining high safety and service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and Manage Winter Activities: Develop and oversee the execution of skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, and other winter programs.
• Staff Supervision: Recruit, train, and schedule winter activity staff. Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations and lead regular training and drills.
• Equipment & Facilities Oversight: Manage winter sports equipment inventory and coordinate with maintenance teams.
• Guest Experience: Maintain exceptional service standards and promptly resolve guest issues.
• Event Planning: Organize and promote special winter events and competitions.
• Budgeting: Participate in budgeting meetings, manage departmental spending, and recommend cost-efficiency improvements.

Requirements

• Proven experience in winter resort management or a similar role
• Strong leadership, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of winter sports operations and safety standards
• CPR and First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain)
