Job Opportunity: Peer Educator
Job Purpose
Under the direct supervision of the District Coordinator, the Peer Educator will be responsible for the following duties:

Duties and Responsibilities

• Facilitate SBCC Sessions
• Administer and fill SBCC tools during sessions
• Carry out HTS and TB screening for all participants (AGYW)
• Conduct health and non-health referrals for eligible participants (AGYW)
• Collaborate with Health Facilities to support Community Health Outreaches and mobilize for PrEP uptake and other SRH services
• Facilitate health talks to eligible groups in Health Facilities
• Submit accurate monthly reports on time
• Conduct condom education, promotion, and distribution to participants

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum qualification: COSC/LGCSE
• Prior experience as a Peer Educator and working with Children, Adolescents, and Young People

Attributes

• Must be from the Health Facility catchment villages
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
• Must be of good community repute
• No past allegations of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse
• Ability to manage time and meet deadlines
• Must function with mature judgment, tact, and diplomacy, ensuring compliance with Sentebale Policies and Procedures
• Ability to maintain strong relationships with external partners and stakeholders
