Job Summary

AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Country Program Manager to oversee, develop, and manage all aspects of AHF’s programs in Lesotho. The selected candidate will be a key member of the AHF Africa Bureau leadership team, ensuring that AHF’s vision, mission, core values, and key partnership standards drive program strategies and implementation.

The Country Program Manager will play a critical role in advocacy and policy engagement, working with government bodies, parliament, and key stakeholders to push for policy changes. This role also includes supervisory oversight of key staff, including the Medical Director, Operations Officer, Prevention Program Coordinator, Finance Officer, and other relevant positions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for AHF’s country program.
• Ensure adherence to AHF’s mission, vision, and management philosophy.
• Advocate for policy changes by collaborating with government bodies and other stakeholders.
• Supervise program staff and ensure efficient performance management.
• Oversee financial and resource management, ensuring accountability and transparency.
• Drive strategic growth and expansion of AHF’s programs in Lesotho.
• Strengthen strategic partnerships, advocacy efforts, and marketing initiatives.
• Lead program planning, collaboration, and reporting in line with AHF’s objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant Degree in a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience, with at least 10 years in a managerial role.
• Strong background in public health and international development programs (advantageous).
• Deep understanding of HIV/AIDS programs and related health issues.
• Experience in HIV/AIDS programming in Africa, preferably with major donor-funded initiatives.
• Cultural sensitivity and ability to work in diverse settings.
• Ability and willingness to travel to operational sites (a valid passport is required).
• Experience in program design and management.
