Position Overview

ZMG Isuzu Motor Dealership is seeking a Service Consultant to enhance the customer service experience and act as the key liaison between customers and the service department. This role ensures timely, high-quality service and repairs, helping maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, automotive knowledge, and a customer-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Interaction & Service Coordination

  • Greet customers, assess their service needs, and provide professional guidance.
  • Clearly explain service options, costs, and timelines to customers.
  • Efficiently schedule service appointments while managing department workflow.
  • Manage vehicle check-ins and ensure pre-delivery inspections meet quality standards.
  • Provide repair estimates, secure approvals, and keep customers updated on progress.

Work Order & Documentation Management

  • Create and maintain work orders in the Dealership Management System (DMS).
  • Document customer concerns, technician recommendations, and repair histories.
  • Collaborate with the parts department to ensure availability of necessary components.
  • Manage warranty claims and service-related paperwork accurately.

  • Conduct follow-up calls post-service to assess customer satisfaction.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints professionally and efficiently.
  • Promote service packages, maintenance plans, and dealership offerings.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to enhance retention

Coordination with Service & Technical Teams

  • Clearly communicate customer concerns to service technicians for accurate repairs.
  • Work closely with the service manager to maintain workflow and efficiency.
  • Ensure vehicles are cleaned and ready for timely pickup.

Compliance & Best Practices

  • Follow ZMG Isuzu’s service policies and brand standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and warranty guidelines.
  • Stay updated on Isuzu vehicle models, service procedures, and industry advancements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum Education: Diploma (Certification in automotive technology or customer service is an added advantage).
  • Experience: At least 2 years in a customer-facing role, with knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and service management software.
