Position: Senior Production Supervisor

Department: Production

Reporting To: Head of Production

Job Purpose

The Senior Production Supervisor will oversee all production activities, ensuring that the manufacturing process delivers high-quality products efficiently and profitably. This role requires strong leadership to maintain discipline, improve processes, and ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise production personnel to ensure discipline and accountability at assigned workstations.
• Monitor timekeeping, safety, and security of staff within the department.
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with CGMP regulations.
• Oversee daily setup and shutdown of compounding systems.
• Verify and receive weighed materials for batch production.
• Manage machine operations in the compounding department.
• Ensure proper documentation is maintained and completed on time.
• Oversee product staging for Quality Control and filling.
• Enforce hygiene standards and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Conduct staff training and performance assessments.
• Work alongside the Production Pharmacist to maintain discipline and a positive work culture.
• Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors.

• Timely production of high-quality products.
• Equipment readiness at the start of each shift.
• Compliance with SOPs and CGMP standards.
• Adherence to Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programs.

• Experience in process improvement and efficiency.
• Quality control and safety compliance
• Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role.
• Hands-on experience operating manufacturing machinery and tools.
• Diploma in Pharmacy (A degree in Engineering or a related field is an added advantage).
